A Different Spa … A Different Soundtrack…

In 2019, Finland & Aaskoven created an exclusive soundtrack for the spa at Great Northern Golf & Spa Resort in Kerteminde, Fyn Denmark.

A meditative blend of ambient tones, real recordings of the Baltic Sea from Storebælt, and the birdlife surrounding the resort.

Crafted in close collaboration with world-class musicians like Lisbeth Scott (Avatar, Star Wars, Narnia), Kim Sjøgren, and Jacob Gurevitsch among others…

The music was composed exclusively for the spa experience – and has never been released as an official soundtrack.

It remains a hidden gem, designed to elevate silence, stillness and senses.

The award-winning short film Three Wise Men – Parallel Lives has gained international recognition at film festivals around the world – most notably receiving a prestigious honor at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Story

A true story of three men who appear to have lived separate lives. Yet through a series of parallel events we discover how their choices, dreams, and vulnerabilities mirror each other. The film poetically portrays the invisible threads that connect human beings – across time, space and destiny, all converging in Mauritius.

The Music

The soundtrack, composed by Finland & Aaskoven, forms the emotional backbone of the film. Tracks such as Queens View, A Cross the Water to Svelmø and Damsbo Bay weave seamlessly into the narrative, adding depth to the atmosphere of intimacy and mystery.

NEWS / January will be showcasing her latest release, Whelmed, at an intimate Brighton show. Performing at The Spire, she will be joined by local all-female cello quartet, The Celli Quartet, master percussionist Omer Makessa, her longtime musical partner Sam Alty on guitar, Chris Kennedy on the keyboard, and Sam Welbourne on synthesiser and electronics. There’ll also be guest performances by Phil Bruce and Amy Squirrel from the Brighton band Beggars Belief and Lone Madsen on clarinet.

January’s latest album, Whelmed is soft and tender with an extreme aesthetic discipline. Her songs melt inextricably into each other with a sonic palette of synth oscillations and atmospheric reverb, advancing and receding within them like shadows.
